I teach through expertise in the anatomical and psychological influences on posture and movement. My classes are inclusive because I educate students on their unique and particular postural pattern, and work with each student as an individual with an important history and desired goals.
My credentials are E-RYT 500, YACEP. I was trained through an apprenticeship with Greg Nardi through Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide in Fort Lauderdale, FL to teach Ashtanga Yoga. My vinyasa training (200 hours) was with Jonny Kest in Detroit, MI. I was inspired to become a yoga teacher after a career in research neuroendocrinology because yoga is an excellent tool for nervous system regulation and understanding the mind-body connection.
I teach through expertise in the anatomical and psychological influences on posture and movement. My classes are inclusive because I educate students on their unique and particular postural pattern, and work with each student as an individual with an important history and desired goals. The traditional practice and philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga very much influences my classes.
Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Somatics.
My classes are educational in nature. I deliver an authentic experience of yoga while connecting the teachings to philosophy and functional anatomy.
I offer modifications for every skill level as well as a clear path to progress, keeping in mind each student’s physical history and the goals that are important to them
